Auli is a famous skiing destination in India (state Uttarakhand) because of its sparkling slopes & clean environment. Auli is a popular hill town with numerous ski resorts situated amidst the Himalayan range. It located at 2800 meters above sea levels, it is home to mountain ranges of Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat and Kamat Kamet. Many religious destinations are also scattered around Auli. It is believed that Shankracharya had blessed Auli with his visit.

Tourist Place In Pandukeshwar:
Pandukeshwar is a small village in the Chamoli District, at a height of 6300 ft above sea level. As per the legend, this village was established by King Pandu, father of the Pandavas.
One of the major attractions of this village is the Yogadhyan Badri Temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Other attractions like Panth, Mata Murti Temple, Mana Village, and Alka Puri are located close to Pandukeshwar
It Started from Dehradun and reached Pandukeshwar (390-398 km). It was an 8 hr journey from Dehradun via bikes and others. The mountains from Joshimath to Pandukeshwar are just awesome. Best for photography in the day time though be careful that you don’t cross that area at night because of fear of landslide. After reaching Pandukeshwar, the hotel costs are very cheap around 150 double bedroom/night. The only problem faced is the signals only work after Joshimath was crossed. From there 20-30 km is Badrinath and 3 km is the place where the trek starts.
There are 5 temples of Lord Vishnu known as Adi Badri in Uttarakhand char Dham. Pandukeshwar is also one of 5 Aadi Badari. This is in a small village while going to Badrinath from Joshimath. However, you have to step down more than 100 steps which were not possible for a senior citizens like us.

There are basically 2 places in Auli that you can stay at –a private resort called “Grand Shiva”. There is A 13-room hotel is available for lease on Badrinath Highway.
Restaurant facilities are also available at the hotel.
Temple, Valley of Flowers, Hemkund Sahib, and Joshimath are connected to the hotel.
